We are open during March Break and then Saturdays and Sundays until the end of June
Centre is open from 11am - 4pm (final admission at 3pm)  
 

The Nature Centre welcomes walk-in visitors during the above operating hours—no prior reservations required. If you would like to book a tour guide for your visit please book ahead here.
 
Visitors may also enjoy the nature trails and picnic area when outdoor space is open, usually from July to October. (Note: flooding and other hazards may restrict trail availability at any time)

We may be able to accommodate visitors to the Nature Centre outside of operating hours throughout the year, please contact us in advance.

  • Staff may be available outside of operating hours to answer questions from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm by phone or email.

  • Scales Nature Park is just off Highway 11 in the township of Oro-Medonte.

  • We are located just south of Orillia, about 20 minutes north of Barrie, and 1 hour from Toronto.

  • Google maps is accurate,  but some GPS’s will direct to the wrong location

  • Check that your address says Oro-Medonte NOT Orillia

  • Our entrance is on Line 15 South, NOT Line 15 North or Highway 11

  • Keep an eye out for our entrance sign, it is set back from the road and is easily missed
