Animal Adoptions
Symbolic animal adoptions are a great way to support the care of your favourite animals here at Scales Nature Park. A one year animal adoption costs $100. You will receive a signed certificate of adoption, and you will be acknowledged as an “Animal Adopter” at the animal’s enclosure and our website. You can also come and visit your adopted animal throughout the year, as an annual membership is included. A personal, behind-the-scenes tour of the facility and meeting with your adopted animal is included on your first visit.

Volunteer Opportunities
We are always interested in new volunteers! There are many possible activities to get involved with. Scales Nature Park was built using volunteers, and will continually appreciate their support and motivation. Give us a call to discuss your interests!
Volunteer activities at Scales Nature Park are eligible for school community service hours. Volunteer experience is also an excellent stepping stone towards ‘Employment’
Internships
Internships are generally unpaid positions that entail a greater commitment of time than the average volunteer, usually over a period of 4 to 12 weeks.
We are always happy to take on interns from various outside sources such as post-secondary animal care programs. We can adapt a course of activities to meet the needs of your program, and your interests.
